Most of the equipment and other expenses for our ministry are paid for through the faithful giving of our Northwest Baptist churches through local Baptist Associations, Northwest Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention in a cooperative way of giving. Volunteers pay their own way and provide their own uniforms, etc. Our leadership does not take paychecks for leading us.

We make it a practice to not ask for funding outside of those parameters. It is always our preference, however, to have funds given directly to the local church that we are working with in a disaster area. That said, here is some information below for those who feel a need to contribute in some other way.

Simply click this button to be taken to the donation form. Please choose the fund – Disaster Relief.  If you’d like to specify further (For example: “2023 Maui Wildfires”, “2024 NW Floods”, etc.) please feel free to do so in the message area of the donation form.

Disaster Relief contributions help meet the needs of people in a disaster situation. Gifts are used to underwrite Northwest Baptist Convention’s response to natural and man-made disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, civil unrest, etc.) that occur in the Northwest, nearby states, or mission partnership countries. Response services can include the preparation and distribution of hot meals, cleanup of homes, and recovery assistance to victims without insurance resources, as well as training and transportation to affected areas for volunteers. As a 501(c)(3) organization, NWBDR seeks to respect the intent of donors but retains discretion over the use of gifts. We do not accept restricted gifts. While we usually can use an earmarked gift for your desired purpose, your contribution may be used for another current or future disaster response effort.

Another Donation Option:

Mail: Checks made payable to NWBC Disaster Relief, mailed to 6715 NE 63rd St., Suite 103-516, Vancouver, WA 98661-1980.

If you would like to earmark your donation to support a specific response, please indicate this in the memo line of your check or in the comments box of your online donation, keeping in mind that NWBDR exercises discretion over the use of funds based on our disaster response efforts and needs (e.g., “Oregon Flood,” “WA Fire Recovery,” “Japan Earthquake”).
