Who We Are

The Gold Shirts of the Northwest

Northwest Baptist Disaster Relief (NWBDR) is the disaster relief ministry of the Northwest Baptist Convention, representing Washington, Oregon, and parts of Idaho. When hurricanes, floods, wildfires, or tornadoes strike, our trained volunteers put on their gold shirts and bring Help, Hope and Healing in Jesus’ name.

From mass feeding and chainsaw teams to chaplaincy, shower/laundry units, and Personal Property Recovery, every unit exists to meet urgent needs in crisis situations.
